”Kochi Swimathon,” South India’s first river swimathon, was held in 2022. From Yadhavi Sports Academy, a total of nine special children have successfully completed up to two kilometres in the event, along with their coaches. Shri Anwar Sadath MLA inaugurated the event, which was organised in collaboration with Kerala Tourism and DTPC Ernakulam.

The Florid Kochi Swimathon, known as “India’s largest River Swimathon,” was even bigger this year, with a record-breaking 233 swimmers participating. Out of these, 112 participants were from outside the state and 62 participants were below 18 years of age.

Our team, Yadhavi Sports Academy, also took part in the event. Ten special children competed in the 5 km category, 10 special children in the 2 km category 10 special childers, and 2 special children in the 400m category, all under the supervision of swimming masters and Head Coach Sathish. In addition, the team coaches successfully competed in the 5 km, 2 km, and 400m categories and All of the kids and coaches received medals and mementos in recognition of their achievement.
